The city of Krk is situated in the southern part of the island of Krk in the heart of the bay. Town is dominated by a magnificent complex of the cathedral which is together with famous castle Frankopan the city's most recognizable motif. The city of Krk is now a political, administrative, economic and religious center of the island. With its series of new hotels and campsites it became very famous on a wider European scale. Even 6 of Krk's beaches have been awarded with the Blue Flag.
