Turanj is a village and summer resort, 23 km southeast of Zadar, just next to Sv. Filip i Jakov and Biograd. The shore here is flat and geomorphollogically less rich and the sea is shallow, which contributes to the fact that there are so many picturesque and touristically very interesting places here.

Catering facilities and all the advantages of a small place will make your stay enjoyable. Its quiet beaches surrounded with the dense pine woods, provide pleasant holidays, especially for families with small children. The landscape of Mediterranean vegetation and the vicinity of beautiful islands of the Zadar Archipelago and the Kornati National Park, will complete your stay in this wonderful place.

There are some findings here of historic and artistic importance, like the remains from the antique period, and very well preserved fortress from the 17th century. The parish church from the 15th century was several times reconstructed. There is a medieval chapel nearby with a Glagollitic inscription.
