Drasnice is a village in the Makarska litoral, 3 km southeast of Podgora. The village lies on the main road Split-Dubrovnik. Drasnice is characteristic dalmatian village with many pitoresque stone houses in this extraordinary mediteranean ambient of pine forests and cristal blue sea.

A scent of history we can find on the cemetery with medieval tombstones, as well as as a Baroque church from 1745. (destroyed in an earthquake in 1794, restored and again demolished). The church floor features medieval tombstones. Above the village is the Ghotic church of St. Stephen, housing a Roman inscription from the 2nd century and an inscription from the 1446 mentioning Duke Stephen.

Drasnice is partly covered by pine forest and small pebble beaches stretch along the village. The economy is based on farming, viticulture, olive growing and fishing. Yachts and boats may dock along the 25-m long pier.
