From small, attractive Saint Peter in the North, all the way to quaint, blue bays of Drage in the South, a modest coast spreads, gravitating to the city of Biograd. Supported by rich and fertile background, framed with blue sea and neckless of the islands, these shores from ancient, have always brought attention and desire to call them as myself.

Biograd is a harbour and a significant tourist resort, 29 km south of Zadar and 44 km north of Sibenik. The surrounding area is overgrown with a dense pine wood. It is primarily thanks to these woods and other Mediterranean vegetation, the large and attractive beaches (Soline, Crvena Luka), the pleasant climate, many picturesque islands and islets just offshore, and to the large Vrana Lake (fishing, fowl shooting) that Biograd has developed into an important tourist resort.

Not far from Biograd is Vrana Lake, in reality a flooded krast field. The Roman city of Zadar received its water from there by way of a aqueduct. The Vrana lake is today a well-known ornithological preserve for numerous species of marsh birds. Recently it has been declared a natural park.

Around Biograd the shore is flat and geomorphologically less rich and the sea is shallow, preciselly therefore there are so many picturesque and touristically very interesting places here. Sv. Filip i Jakov is a village and summer resort adorned by a seris of secluded and calm coves and numerous islets. This place is realy nice for relaxing, offering attractive pebble, sand and rocky beaches.

Turanj is a village and summer resort, 23 km southeast of Zadar, just next to Sv. Filip i Jakov. The landscape of Mediterranean vegetation and the vicinity of beautiful islands of the Zadar Archipelago and the Kornati National Park, will complete your stay in this wonderful place. If you wish quiet holidays, enjoy yourselves on its nice isolated rocky beaches of Sv. Petar, next summer resort on this beautifull riviera made for summer pleasures.

Pakostane is a small tourist town, not far from Biograd, 35 km south of Zadar. It comprises an older part along the coast and a newer part along the main road. It is situated within a wide bay across the Kornati National Park, Croatia's boating paradise.
