Drvenik is a village and ferry pier in the cove of the same name on the Makarska Riviera, 29 km southeast of Makarska. On a knoll north of the village are the ruins of a tower with fortification walls from the 17th century. The Gothic church of St. George, later reconstructed in the Baroque style, features built-in tombstones from the Middle Ages.

When you turn right from the main road, wanting to reach the centre of Drvenik the road leads you straight on the sea. Then on your right you have nice pebble beach in the dense pine forest and the little alley full of shops and restaurants. On your left there is a ferry pier for Sucuraj on the island of Hvar and for the island of Korcula.

Economy is based on farming, viticulture, olive growing, fishing and tourism. The coast, with a number of coves, sand shores (so-called "pjeskulje", sandy soils) and flush belts (so-called "duzi"), is protected from the north by the ridges of Rilic. Smaller- yachts may dock in the eastern part of the cove.

Nice, green coves with the sources of potable water render a special atmosphere to Drvenik. Gastronomic offer includes fish, other seafood and home-made specialties. Entertainment programs are offered in nearby Gradac.
